Case 06 · Northfork

Weekly meal planning, embedded in the client's own site

Widget · API · B2B / B2C

Illustration of an open laptop on a wooden desk showing a recipe website with a weekly meal plan, next to a ceramic mug, a small potted plant and a stack of three plain-covered cookbooks.
Original illustration created for this site — not a photo of the real product.

Challenge

B2B clients needed a fast way to offer meal planning to their own customers without building it from scratch.

My role

Product Manager for widgets and APIs.

What changed

  • — A widget that embeds on retailer sites or third-party recipe sites.
  • — Shoppers browse, pick and swap recipes, then add the full menu to the basket at once.
  • — The same engine offered as an API for clients who wanted their own interface.

Business impact

  • +5% purchase uplift when recipes go to the basket, with around 10 products added in three clicks.

What this demonstrates today

One product, two delivery models: a widget for speed to market, an API for clients who want to own the interface.
